Depending on the Weather ReviewThis is a beautiful collection. The book is divided into four parts, the title section Depending on the Weather, Imagining Home, The Grateful Dead, and You Can't Learn Less. It's hard for me to choose a favorite section, but I think it has to be Imagining Home, which contains a selection of bird poems and garden poems, among others. I cried most of the way through the third section, "The Grateful Dead." Some of my favorite poems in the collection are: Translucence, Summer God, Autumn, Birding, Habitat, Daylily Design, Cycling Seasons, When I Get There, Winter Hill, Daily Love Letters, The Last Ohio Trip, What Began Winters Before, Grave Heart, Post ER, If, As it Comes, Turning to Stars, Evergreens, Prayer, On Earth. Haha, I guess that's more than some.Keegan is an adept poet whose lyrical voice guides us through the seasons of joy and tragedy. Her poems take us from Singapore to Scotland to Oklahoma, but they always leave us with a sense of awe and connectedness to the world. This is a book of poems that you will want to savor, but also that you won't want to put down.Depending on the Weather Overview
