Windsock Wesley & His Wild & Wonderful Weather Machine, Living in Cloud 9 ReviewI purchased this book to read to a group of children for a local United Way reading program. We were reading about flying objects (kites, planes, boomerangs, windsocks, wind chimes, etc) so when I came across this book I was excited about the story as well as the educational element. The kids ranged from K to 5th grade. Unfortunately, most children were tuned out by the 3rd page. It was partly my fault as I didn't realize how long the book is. Even so, many children's books have lots of pages, what I also didn't realize is that this one has lots of words on each page as well, so the book ends up being pretty long. One of the other reviewers said that they read it over a couple of nights, and I think that would work much better. For reading to a small group of kids, it was too much information, and too long. My daughter and I read it again when we were home, and we both enjoyed it, but we were able to put it down and come back to it later.Windsock Wesley & His Wild & Wonderful Weather Machine, Living in Cloud 9 Overview
