Thirsty Thursday ReviewBonnie Bumble stood in front of the barn. watering can in hand, looking at her flower garden. Everything was a sorry sight, including her kitty and doggie who sat behind her. The snapdragons, tiger lilies, Johnny jump-ups and the black eyed Susans were starting to shrivel and snivel for the lack of water.
"The Snapdragons snapped.
The tiger lilies growled.
The Johnny jump-ups jumped up and down.
And the black-eyed Susans were spoiling for a fight."
There wasn't a cloud to be had anywhere in sight. The pig, the roosters, the duck the pig and even the bull (whose tongue was hanging out) were wilting fast. Bonnie looked up underneath the brim of her little sunbonnet and saw a little cloud. She began to gather the chicken feathers lying on the hay. Tickle, tickle, tickle ... Bonnie Bumble had a big idea!
This little farm girl is a force to be reckoned with in the adorable department, to say nothing of her thoughtful, ticklish solution to her water department dilemma. The calm, soothing and gentle rhythm of text will be very appealing to the preschooler. Helen Craig's hopping, bopping flowers and the appealing farm animals are sure to please. This book will tickle, tickle, tickle your fancy big time!Thirsty Thursday Overview
